THEME: CONFISCATIONS 1945 - 2005

There is widespread mis-information in Germany, that "only" ca. 7,000 property-owners of large areas of land were expropriated between 1945- 1949

Corrected facts:
1945- 1949

Exactly 7,136 property-owners were expropriated 1945-1949.
These concerned people owned more than 100 ha each, which totalled 2,5 million ha in all.
The average size per business was 350 ha, that is less than 1/3 the size of the areas now owned by the LPG-businesses (Around 2,500 owners are ex-SED party-members or sympathisers from the former GDR). On top of this, 278 farms in the range of 100 ha, and 2,309 businesses under special government-departments with a total amount of 600,000 ha, were confiscated .
Few people know that restitutions were made to some individuals .

Total confiscations 1945 -1949 :
13,723 agricultural and forest- businesses.

Further :
1949 - 1989
610,000 confiscations of private enterprises and businesses between 1949 and 1989 (facrories, middle-class enterprises, service related enterprises, hotels and restaurants and real estate etc.)

After 1990:
On top of this come more than 200,000 new settlers, which were expropriated by the former "GDR" and the "FRG" since 1992 without any reparations, this contraveves once more general federal law in Germany and hurts seriously the convention of human rights.
The legal procedure "Strassburg" on the 2005-06-30 was - possibly for a short time - sanctioned by the ECHR against general legal rights.
